HealthBeyond - Melbourne Etihad Stadium (formerly Telstra Dome), May 7 2009
HealthBeyond is not about technology
Yes, there is compelling design, inspired programming and elegant hardware, but the real story is how they are coming together to deliver simplicity. Lack of technical skills or specialist knowledge is no longer a barrier to benefiting from some of the most enabling advances health has seen in recent times.
HealthBeyond looks at how individuals can better manage their personal health. It will detail the explosive development in areas such as games for health, online health communities, personal health records and personal monitoring technologies.
Importantly, the exhibitions and presentations at HealthBeyond talk to how individuals can participate in supporting their own health at the level they feel comfortable with. It will also chronicle some amazing stories on how these advancements evolved and where they are heading. HealthBeyond has been created for both health professionals and those just interested in how to take better care of themselves. We want to create a better understanding of how you, or those in your care, can travel along these new pathways to better health.
Come along, learn, be inspired... there is so much that has changed to solve a problem that has been constant for so long...the need to engage and empower individuals in the better management of their own health.
