ThinkUKnow Australia is a partnership between the Australian Federal Police (AFP), Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) and Microsoft Australia. ThinkUKnow was developed in the UK by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre to raise awareness of Internet safety and security issues, particularly those which confront young people. The initiative is based on the three themes of Have Fun, Stay in Control and Report. We want to educate parents on how young people use technology to have fun, the risks they may face and how they can help them stay in control, and finally how to report when things go wrong.

MoodGYM (www.moodgym.anu.edu.au) is an interactive program delivering Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to around 300,000 registered users worldwide. The highly successful program was first delivered in 2001 and is now in its third version.
e-couch (www.ecouch.anu.edu.au) is the group's newest self-help site and provides extensive information and self-help tools for depression, generalised anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder. Toolkits provide Cognitive Behaviour therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Relaxation Therapy, Physical Activity Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Attention Practice and Social Skills Training.
BluePages (www.bluepages.anu.edu.au) is a comprehensive depression information site which includes ratings of the scientific evidence of the effectiveness of medical, psychological and lifestyle treatments for depression, as well as information about the symptoms and diagnosis of depression and resources for help-seeking.
BlueBoard (www.blueboard.anu.edu.au) is an online community offering mutual support for people suffering from depression and anxiety, their friends and carers.
Better Health Channel - Healthier living, online - Better Health Channel is an Australian website aimed at keeping Victorians healthy and fit by providing quality assured health information. The program was set up by the Victorian Government in 1999 and is now one of the top three health websites in Australia. more
CanTeen - The Australian Organisation for Young People Living with Cancer, is the national support organisation for young people (aged 12-24) living with cancer. The touchstone of CanTeen is the belief that young people, through meeting and talking with one another, are better able to cope with the uncertainties of a cancer diagnosis. A diagnosis of cancer at any time is traumatic, but even more so for a young person - already facing issues of identity, independence, relationships and career. Cancer is not a death sentence, but it can mean the start of a long process of painful treatment and years of uncertainty. Since its inception, CanTeen has had a clear focus on the needs of young people living with cancer and has demonstrated a commitment to the principle of Member participation in management. This commitment ensures that CanTeen remains true to its mission and continually assesses the needs of the Members. CanTeen's mission is to support, develop and empower young people living with cancer.
Chronic Illness Alliance - The Chronic Illness Alliance has 48 member organisations, both state and national. The aim of the Alliance is to build a better focus in health policy and health services for all people with chronic illnesses. It does this through education and research projects.

National ETherapy Centre - Swinbourne Univesity eTherapy refers to the delivery of directive treatment-oriented therapeutic material for specific clinical disorders via internet or other communication technologies (e.g. mobile phone) commonly with the assistance of a health professional. Since 1998, our team has been leading the development, evaluation and delivery of these internet-based treatment programs. The eTherapy Unit is in the process of developing the ‘National eTherapy Centre (NeTC) funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing that will provide 'ANXIETY ONLINE', a virtual treatment clinic for the anxiety disorders. This will comprise of a psycho-educational website for information about all the anxiety disorders, an e-psychological assessment system, internet-based clinical treatment (with therapist assistance) to Australians who have an anxiety disorder and automated self-help clinical treatment for people with an anxiety disorder worldwide. The individual treatment programs will cover: generalised anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder with or without agoraphobia, post-traumatic stress disorder and social anxiety disorder. We will also provide online training courses for eTherapists and clinical eSupervisors.
nehta The National E-Health Transition Authority Limited (NEHTA) is a notfor-profit company established by the Australian Commonwealth, State and Territory governments in 2005. It aims to develop better ways of electronically collecting and securely exchanging health information, to: • improve the quality of healthcare services, allowing clinicians to more easily access accurate and complete information about their patients • streamline the care of people with long term illness, who need to be looked after by many different health professionals, by enabling seamless handovers of care through for example electronic referrals and discharge summaries, • improve clinical and administrative efficiency, by standardising certain types of healthcare information to be recorded in electronic systems; uniquely identifying patients, healthcare providers and medical products; and reforming the purchasing process for medical products, while maintaining high standards of patient privacy and information security.
